Originating in the late 1980's in a small workshop at our BVI building, this program has grown to a storefront location in the historic Grant Building at 250 Main Street in downtown?Pawtucket. There... ...20 individuals work as professional artists in a storefront studio. At our studio storefront, we specialize in hand-woven rugs of various sizes, table runners, placemats and pillow covers. We support the creative and technical abilities of all individual artists as they work on artwork, clay work and various other projects.
Flying Shuttles strives to work within the community, educating people about the capabilities of artists with developmentally disabilities.

Many of the woven items sold are custom ordered specifically for the customer's. Our success rate for color combination, consistent quality and project completion is outstanding.
We have displayed our artwork and woven items throughout Rhode Island in various cafes, banks, galleries, stores, churches, state buildings, festivals and tradeshows.
